Nordea Open Banking will introduce a structured creditor address for cross border payments in the Nordics.
This structured creditor address will be introduced in 15th November 2026 as part of the EPC regulation to improve data quality which will allow better control for sanction screening, fraud monitoring, AML etc.

Another change is that the BIC will be mandatory for cross border payments.
Structured address fields
Structured creditor address will have the following fields and rules:

| Street name | Street name cannot exceed 70 characters. |
| Town name | Town name is mandatory. Town name cannot exceed 35 characters. |
| Country Code | Country Code is mandatory. Country code must be exactly 2 characters long. |
| Post Code | Post code cannot exceed 16 characters. |
| Building number | Post code cannot exceed 16 characters. |
| Post Box | Post Box cannot exceed 16 characters. |
| Building Name | Building name cannot exceed 35 characters. |
| Country Sub Division | Country Sub Division cannot exceed 35 characters. |
